ASA and ABS+ for FDM 3D printed parts

ASA and ABS+ is used for outdoor parts, enclosures, fixtures and components exposed to heat or UV. The best material choice starts with load, temperature, environment, expected lifetime and quantity.

Material choice

When ASA and ABS+ is a good fit

Choose ASA and ABS+ when its property profile matches the real working environment, not just the CAD model.

  • ASA handles UV better than many common FDM plastics.
  • ABS+ is useful for robust indoor technical parts.
  • Good option when heat resistance matters.

What to send for a better recommendation

Upload STEP or STL together with quantity, use environment, load direction, temperature range and any drawing with critical dimensions.

Production reality

For FDM parts, material is only one part of the result. Orientation, wall thickness, infill strategy, nozzle size and post-processing also affect performance.

When another material may be better

If the part needs higher heat resistance, more flexibility, UV stability, flame-retardant behavior or tighter tolerances, we will recommend a better route early.

Common questions

Answers that move the project forward

Can you quote ASA and ABS+ parts?

Yes. Upload CAD and describe the application so we can review material, geometry and production risk.

Do I need a finished drawing?

A STEP or STL file is enough to start. A drawing helps when tolerances or critical surfaces matter.

Can this be produced again later?

Yes. Approved parts can be saved with material and production data for repeat orders.
